Job Description

Offered on a 20hrs per week basis; initial 3-month assignment with the possibility of extension.

Preference, already based in Berlin, keen to work from the office with a valid work permit. 

Omio is a prominent voice and thought-leader in the Travel space, creating innovative content, delivered via a broad range of media. A key area is in developing unique stories from our industry-leading data. You’ll support the PR team in amplifying our continuous efforts to transform the travel category, making travel more accessible, affordable and sustainable for all.

The role of Data Analyst (Content and PR) is to act as the data partner for the PR and Brand teams. You will be embedded in their teams, building strong relationships and a deep understanding of their needs, while also working closely with the Data teams to understand our data ecosystem and write the code to discover and deliver on data stories. Your combination of excellent communication and technical data skills make you uniquely placed to speak with both groups, and your knowledge of data visualisation techniques and how to build a narrative give your work impact.

Alongside meeting day-to-day requirements for the PR and Brand teams, you will also be integral to our efforts to establish a base platform for non-technical users to build their own stories, and for raising the standard of data story-telling across the teams.

  • Build strong relationships with the Brand and PR team, understanding their processes, workflows, goals and ambitions.

  • Understand our data estate, the types of data available and how our data models fit together

  • Identify opportunities for data stories by bringing together media opportunities and trends with our/external data

  • Plan, develop, execute and deliver data stories that offer a compelling narrative for non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

  • Has excellent analytical skills and experience in working with large, complex datasets using SQL (BigQuery preferred but not essential).

  • Demonstrates experience in data story-telling

  • Understands how to generate data-led content suitable for a PR and Media audience.

  • Are fluent in English; additional languages are always valued at Omio

  • Is a team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 

  • Has a solution oriented approach to problem solving
