The Data & Analytics (D&A) Europe team is part of the Global D&A team, focusing on delivering business value for the European Market and various stakeholders (e.g. Ranging & Merchandizing, Demand Planning, Sales &Finance), so that they can access the right data to evaluate and optimize their performance. As part of the European D&A engineering team, responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure to support and enable data for firm wide use, you will be working side by side with our experienced data engineers, receiving ongoing feedback and coaching from a dedicated mentor throughout the entire internship. YOUR TASKS:

Full-cycle process for development, testing and release using Agile methodologies
Apply programming and analysis skills to maintain and develop our infrastructure and data products.
Data Warehousing and ETL processes building data pipelines from Data Lake and monitoring processes.
Expose and combine data by using visualization tools like ‘Microstrategy’, ‘Power BI’ (desired).
Support Product Owners in translating business requirements into technical solutions.

YOUR PROFILE:

Student of Computer Science, Data Engineering & Analytics or similar.
Enrolled as full-time student for the complete duration of the internship
Or in the so-called gap year between bachelor’s and master’s degree (gap year regulation only applicable to EU citizens due to working permit regulations)
Candidates in penultimate year of study preferred (following the internship, students should have maximum one year to graduate)
Proficient spoken and written command of English
Understanding of data structures and threading models.
Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment, deploying new software day by day
Passion for solving complex problems and learning to build optimal solutions from scratch, instead of simply assembling things from existing libraries.
Interest in using knowledge from several areas, such as data pipelining and database management.
Introductory level in Python and SQL
