A Day in LCO (Liquids, Creams and Ointments)
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the LCO production area with approximately 150 employees and ensuring the large-scale production of non-sterile liquids, ointments, creams and suppositories for market supply in Germany, EU and EMEA. This includes weighing, bulk production and packaging. The products are to be provided according to the rules of Good Manufacturing Practice, EU Guideline, AMG, AMWHV and the requirements of the market authorization in time and quantity as well as at the calculated costs.
You are responsible for the department’s budget, as well as for investments, including planning and monitoring and are responsible for leading, motivating and developing subordinate employees in accordance with the company’s leadership principles. You make personnel decisions in cooperation with the supervisor and the HR department.
You are the contact person for other departments, for internal and external technical inquiries concerning the production of solid dosage forms (e.g. quality control, quality assurance, occupational safety and environmental protection, EU projects).
You will be responsible for the GMP tasks (§12 AMWHV) of the Head of Manufacturing. This includes ensuring that products are manufactured and stored in accordance with regulations, approving manufacturing instructions (manufacturing descriptions and documentation, packaging instructions) in accordance with the Medicines Act and ensuring that these are adhered to, as well as ensuring that the manufacturing and packaging record for each batch is prepared, checked, signed off and stored in accordance with regulations.
You will actively participate in self-inspections and external audits and will be responsible for monitoring quality related changes by participating in the change control process.
Who are we searching for
Are you… a professional with experience in either pharmaceutical technology, engineering or analytics, ideally a pharmacist… customer-oriented with a proactive attitude… able to work work with stakeholders to identify problems, resolutions, and opportunities… able to understand, adhere to and report all site KPIs… able to manage change, creating opportunities for growth and coaching for success… process-oriented and able to manage complexity and change… communicative and has the ability to work with and influence others… an expert on execution issues within the functional area
Do you have… at least 8 years of professional experience in Management at a senior level.… experience in industrial manufacturing of pharmaceuticals… knowledge of pharmaceutical mechanical engineering and design of pharmaceutical-grade buildings and building services equipment would be ideal… ideally experience in dealing with domestic and foreign regulatory authorities… adequate working knowledge of project management tools and processes in a production, process based environment… advanced knowledge of relevant IT planning systems and platforms… understanding the core business value and growth drivers… acting with internal and external customer
