The Digital Design team located in Hamburg, Germany is seeking a motivated Senior Digital Design Engineer to provide support to ADI Trinamic. The design team develops integrated circuits that drive electric motors. Target applications range from medical devices like patch pumps over consumer products like 3D Printers to high powered industrial drives for robots.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be a key member of the Digital local team to define the architectures of new products and/or key digital modules. Decomposing system-level requirements to a set of requirements and specifications at the digital hardware level.
  • Study new top-edge motor control IC specifications and develop the design (and relative documentation) for one or more digital modules and/or top-level.
  • Develop Verilog/System Verilog RTL code. Perform coding rules and conformance checks.
  • Work on block/system level verification  
  • IC bench evaluation and FPGA prototyping.
  • Work within the overall ADI digital design community to proliferate & share best practice methodologies and technologies.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • MSEE degree in Electronics Engineering with 3+ years relevant Digital Design Experience
  • Experience in architecting and specifying complex digital systems.
  • Working experience in RTL design, Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL languages
  • Understanding of physical and digital implementation (Logic Synthesis, STA, DFT, LEC, P&R, ATPG …)
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python/TCL/Perl/bash)
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written presentation/communication and organization skills (English required)
  • Ability to work in multifunctional teams

“Nice to have” Qualifications:

  • Experience with mixed-signal and state of the art verification techniques (UVM/Formal) is highly appreciated.
  • Experience with Motor Control.
