    Job Purpose Role

     

    We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Procurement Officer (f/m/d). This position is based in Munich and reports directly to the Head of Operational Governance (Head of Procurement “HoP”). 
     
    Within this role, you will be responsible to take the contract and vendor compliance capability to the next level. You will operate at multiple levels within the organization, designing and implementing a multidisciplinary framework, managing the procurement processes, ensuring an efficient supply chain operation and strategy. 
     

     

    Key responsibilities:

     

    Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee the execution of advanced procurement strategies across diverse service categories, including IT Professional Services, Consulting, Marketing, and others. Ensure these strategies align with the overarching Group strategy and drive significant value creation.
    Market Analysis & Sourcing Innovation: Lead comprehensive market trend analysis to formulate and implement innovative sourcing plans. Align these plans with strategic objectives, focusing on optimizing major spend categories and achieving ambitious savings targets.

    Governance & Compliance: Ensure rigorous adherence to the Procurement Control Framework by establishing robust monitoring and tracking mechanisms. Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.

    Advanced Negotiations: Spearhead high-stakes supplier contract negotiations, utilizing advanced techniques such as tender/e-auction settings or direct 1:1 negotiation. Drive outcomes that maximize value and minimize risk for the organization.

    Stakeholder Engagement: Enhance and sustain high levels of awareness and engagement among business owners throughout the procurement lifecycle. Act as a strategic advisor to senior business leaders.

    Compliance Oversight: Advise and supervise Business Owners in identifying and addressing non-compliant contract relationships. Develop and recommend strategic actions to remediate any deviations from compliance standards.

    Cross-Functional Facilitation: Serve as a key facilitator and strategic partner to other critical functions such as Risk Management, P&R, Data Privacy, Information Security, Legal, and Compliance. Ensure all procurement activities maintain strict alignment with Group standards and regulatory requirements.
     

     

    Qualifications/Key skills:

     

    • Extensive experience in strategic procurement leadership roles of at least 7 years, preferably within a global or multinational context.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing high-impact procurement strategies across multiple categories.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex market data and trends.
    • Exceptional negotiation skills, with demonstrated success in securing favorable terms in large-scale contracts.
    • Deep understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements in procurement.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing senior executives and driving cross-functional collaboration.
    • Advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
    • Fluency in English mandatory.
